Registration & Payment of Tuition Policies
BJEP Policies on Registration & Payment of Tuition
Effective for the 2010-2011 school year
1) Payment Policies
- Tuition per child is $1145 for grades 2 through 7; $750 for grade 1 and $350 for grade K.
- Credit card payment is limited to the March 7th and 14th campus registration days and is ineligible for all discounts except third child discount.
- An Early Registration discount of $50 per child is available for all grades. A Full Payment discount of $50 per child is available in grades 1-7 only. Both these discounts require cash or check payments made before April 1st. -
Other discounts may be applicable and are not subject to credit card restrictions (see below).
- A non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of $100 per child will reserve a place in next year’s class. The balance of tuition payments must be made by cash or check in three installments due May 1st, July 1st and September 1st. Reminders will be mailed. Payments received after the 15th of the month will accrue a $25 late fee and your child(ren) will lose guaranteed placement in their grade. This also applies to returned checks.
2) Registration & Enrollment Policies
- No payment will be accepted until the family has signed up to volunteer for at least one BJEP job for each child enrolled.
- Current BJEP families who have not registered by April 1 (including both payment and volunteer sign-up) forfeit priority in the program, and will go to the bottom of the wait list as it exists at the time.
- All new families who enroll a child in BJEP must have the approval of the Education Director.
- Kindergarten and 1st grade students may be enrolled no later than the 2nd or 4th class respectively of the first semester (if there are spaces available) with approval from the Education Director.
- The Education Director will have discretion regarding enrollment of any student for the second semester.
A child is considered registered for BJEP when a completed registration form, volunteer sign-up and the appropriate payment are received and/or scheduled.
3) Special Payment and Discount Policies
- Families who enroll a child for the second semester of a BJEP school year pay $600 (grades 2-7), $400 (grade 1) or $200 (grade K), in full at the time of enrollment. Enrollment after the school year has begun is at the complete discretion of the Education Director.
- Families with three (3) or more children enrolled in BJEP receive a $100 discount for the third and each additional child enrolled.
- Families who wish to seek an additional discount must speak with the Chair of the Parent Board of Directors.
4) Refund Policy (applies to students leaving BJEP during the school year)
- The $100 deposit is both non-refundable and non-transferable
- The balance of tuition paid is refundable until three (3) weeks prior to the first day of school. After this time, no refunds will be made with one exception; a replacement student must register within 60 days of the Director receiving notice of a student leaving BJEP.
