Field Trip – Coordinator of Drivers

The coordinator for this job will secure an appropriate number of parent drivers, as early as possible in the school year.  The coordinator will remind all parent volunteers at least two weeks before the program of their commitment to drive on the date of the program. The Coordinator will also make sure that every child has a permission slip and that every child is assigned to a driver to ensure no child is left behind and that each driver knows who will be in their car.

The coordinator will get directions and give them to all drivers.  The cars will leave BJEP by 9:35 AM promptly and return to BJEP by 12:00 PM

Volunteer parent drivers will:

  • Have seat belts for all passengers, and will have communicated the number of seats with seatbelts available in his/her car.
  • Arrive at BJEP not later than 9:35 AM on the morning of the program.
  • Drive the students and teachers to Pucker Gallery, participate with/help supervise the students and drive students and teachers back to BJEP not later than 11:50 AM.
  • If parent drivers are unable to fulfill their commitment, it is their responsibility to notify the Program Coordinator immediately AND to help find a replacement driver.

Please note: Parents will only be reimbursed for expenditures over $50.00, with the first $50.00 deducted.
