Grade 4 Havdallah Program Coordinator

The Havdallah Program Coordinator(s) will organize the grade 4 Havdallah celebration, usually held at Temple Beth Israel in Waltham on a Saturday evening in the Spring. 

Coordinator job :

 Will call all families to see who will be attending and assign tasks as listed below.

Typically there are about 90 people at this event (each student in grade 4 brings 2 people)

Responsibilities include making sure the following is at the event

  • Coffee, water, juice
  • Desserts – Kosher and No Nuts
  • Paper goods –  plates, cups, silverware, napkins, 9 round table cloths, 4 long table cloth, one roll of paper towels and 3 large trash bags for clean-up
  • Set-up/Clean-up: arrive 20 minutes early to set up and plan to stay 10 minutes upon completion of program to clean up.
  • Havdallah Candles –  6 Havdallah candles and tin foil.
  • Wine and Kiddish Cup ( for Kiddush Cup only): Bring items to event.

Please note: Parents will only be reimbursed for expenditures over $50.00, with the first $50.00 deducted.
