Havdallah Program Coordinator

The Havdallah Program Coordinator(s) will organize the food (desserts only) for the Havdallah celebration, usually held at Temple Beth Israel in Waltham on a Saturday evening.

Coordinator job :

Will contact all families to see who will be attending and assign tasks as listed below.

Typically there are about 90 people at this event

Responsibilities include making sure the following is at the event

  • Coffee, water, juice
  • Desserts – No Nuts -( Ice Cream Sundae bar is one suggestion that is good for adults and kids )
  • 4 rectangular tablecloth and 8 round tablecloth (any colors)
  • Paper and Plastic goods –  plates, cups, silverware, napkins, one roll of paper towels and 3 large trash bags for clean-up
  • Set-up/Clean-up: arrive 20 minutes early to set up and plan to stay 10 minutes upon completion of program to clean up.

The BJEP staff will provide all items needed for the Havdalah service itself.

Please note: Parents will only be reimbursed for expenditures over $50.00, with the first $50.00 deducted.
