High Holidays Assistant – Nonreader service

HIGH HOLIDAYS ASSISTANT – NON-READER SERVICE
Responsible for setting up, serving, and cleaning up refreshments at Rosh Hoshanah services for non-readers. Also for distributing donation slips and envelopes at both Rosh Hoshanah and Yom Kippur services for non-readers.

Specific responsibilities:
Purchase and bring with you:
•    two rectangular disposable table cloths
•    paper plates, napkins, and forks for about 50 to 75 people
•    a knife and/or cake server to cut the cake
•    a paring knife to cut the apples

On Rosh Hoshanah, arrive at approx 1:45pm to set up, including setting up the paper goods on the tables, cutting the apples, cutting the cake. Serve these items and clean up afterwards. Also, make sure everyone gets a donation request slip and envelope.

Apples, honey, and cake will be dropped off in Schwartz by the High Holiday Coordinator. The donation slips and envelopes will be dropped off by the Donations Coordinator. On Yom Kippur, there are no refreshments to service, so all that is needed that day is distribute the donation request slips and envelopes.
