Grade 2 – Shabbat Connection Matchmaker
This job is basically being a “matchmaker.”
The coordinator matches second grade families who have agreed to host a Shabbat dinner with other second grade families who have agreed to be their guests.
In preparation, the coordinator asks the Director for an updated Shabbat Connection Sign-Up Sheet. The coordinator then passes around this updated sign-up sheet at the second grade orientation where parents sign up as either hosts or guests for a dinner on particular dates. Next, the coordinator “matches” the volunteer hosts with the guests and confirms that these matches work with the families.
Last, the coordinator informs the BJEP staff of the matches. (At that point, the BJEP staff will send families all the information they need to know about how to conduct a Shabbat dinner.)
