High Holiday Services

BJEP offers High Holiday family services on the Brandeis campus on the afternoon of the first day of Rosh Hashanah and on the afternoon of Yom Kippur.  We offer two services each day:

  • Service for families with children up to age 7.  This music-based, non-reading service includes storytelling and a craft project.
  • Service for families with children ages 7 and up. This service includes Hebrew and English prayers, Jewish songs, and Torah reading.

Services run approximately an hour and are close together, so families can split up or stay together. Everyone is welcome at both services.  A Kiddush (refreshments) follows the Rosh Hashanah service.

BJEP high holiday family services are open to the public.  Here is a schedule of this years services:

Rosh Hashanah: Monday, September 17, 2012 at 2:30 pm

Yom Kippur: Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 2:30 pm

Pre-registration is required. Contact BJEP at (617) 734-4997 for information about how to register.
